Rambling Part - I

Here comes more of my endless philosophical rantings! Sorry people, this is a side-effect of my having been cooped up inside my house for too long with nothing much to do! :( I swear, sitting around joblessly like this, and waiting around for something to happen is absolutely the most difficult thing in the world... I'm sure it requires immense strength of character!! I wish that the next 25 days just fly by...

The proverb "An idle mind is the devil's workshop" is perfectly true! When you sit staring at the 4 walls of your house, your thoughts tend to go around in circles and circles... and drive you mad eventually!! Atleast if you have company, or someone to talk to, it shoudnt be so bad... but for the cursed souls like me - who happen to be "the only child" whose parents are working, this is literally torture!!

At first, I was feeling slightly claustrophobic... but now, it has progressed to downright depression!! Coming out of this with your sanity intact is no mean feat! :|

On a more cheerful note, life is all about the simple, small moments that make you smile, laugh and feel instantly better! :) Be it your friends who are always there for you, a sudden rainbow in the sky which made you smile, or a special someone who drew a rainbow for you to see that smile on your face.... enjoy these tiny moments to the fullest!! :)

Because life is not measured by the number of breaths you take, but by the moments like these that take your breath away!!! :)

And... more imprtantly, share and spread the smiles!!! Because your smile becomes a million times more meaningful.. and brighter when you give it to someone else too! As someone who has been experiencing quite a lot of these little moments and sharing smiles of late, I have just realised that the magnitude of happiness that you get from putting a smile on another person's face is unparalleled!!!

And I, apparently have been smiling so much of late that a friend of mine has given me the nickname "Smiley damsel" :) (But, Touchwood!)

Well... smile at life, and life will smile back at you! :)

My post, of course, would be incomplete without one of my favourite songs playing here...

This is one of my favourite songs, by Atif Aslam. A very soothing melody... enjoy!

Cheers! :)

Heyy.. everyone likes killing time.. once in a while... but when you have been the doing the same for 3 months in a rwo, it becomes a tad too difficult... and a lil depressing!!

Btw, as of now, part-II ezhudhara plan illa... but I just might... :)

Me demoted to commenting seventh eh? It is wogayz. lol.

It can be downright depressing Iyshu, but if I am confident of one person who'll NOT lose her sanity during such moments, it will be you :) :) :)

And appa tells me that sometimes we need to take a lull at face value... for we may not know when we will get a 'free' interlude like that although I know for you sitting within the lull it can be a whole lot more exasperating.

Keep smiling - for every smile from every heart is precious - and spread the smiles arnd too.

You are getting too many nicknames of late. lol. Smiley Damsel is a good one (don't become a smiling assassin! LOL)

Cheers. Good morn :)

and they say labour is pleasure da. Only during moments such as these do you actually realise it.

So... harder though it is... (and I know it is incredibly hard esp for someone used to be busy) just keep digging into yourself, come up with those "pearl-witherings" more so for your sake than others and continue to chug along.

And don't forget (what I feel is the single trait that demarcates you) and I was impressed with the aplomb with which you said it the first time we spoke: your ability to remain "optimistic" no matter what. And take "one day" at a time... easier said, but not impossible to do either :)

And oh yes, sorry for the second "aruvai" of the morning and a dragged out one. lol. Cheers da.

Well, if you had 2 to 3 diversions... like exercising, reading books, watching movies (dvd), using the internet, and playing games on video game console (like Xbox/PS2) or... at the least, in your computer... you'll probably spend it easily...

All of those are what I've been using since 2002... it's worked well till now, maybe it'll work for you too ;)

With determination, you can conquer anything, enakke romba overa theriyudu... time waste panradu pathi oru post, aduku oru comment, adula evlavu time waste... pfffft !

26 comments? I guess that's one thing you've found to keep yourself busy ;-) And dont lose heart Iysh, only children are not always 'cursed souls'.....use the time to do something fun! I remember being bored like this after my 10th bored exams and I sat and wrote a book! I came across it recently and I was in splits reading my ridiculous writing!

And I just read this quote in a recent edition of the Readers' Digest - 'A smile is a way of showing your teeth to destiny' ;-) So take it that way!

Iyshwarya said...

@ Vaishu matha

Thanks Vaish :) I shall take it that way! :)

And maybe you shud send that book of urs to me... I'm sure I'll have a wonderful time reading it.. ;) :) :)
